WP 1: JRP Management and Coordination
Project Management
The project management will be overseen by the JRP coordinator (NPL). A project management board will be established consisting of one formal representative from each participant.
There will be five formal project meetings as mentioned below. In addition to these, ad-hoc meetings will be held at conferences and called whenever a difficulty within the project merits a meeting of the full consortium.
The progress of the project will be monitored against the GANTT chart and the deliverables list. The assignment of WP leaders gives the project a coherent structure and will facilitate coordination of the overall project.
Meetings
Meetings will take place annually to review project progress and to ensure participants are clear as to their role for the next 12 months. A kick-off meeting will be held to agree on detailed project plans and partner roles will be confirmed. Emphasis will be given to the need to stick to the plan. Annual review meetings will thereafter focus on project delivery including a formal discussion about whether the project should continue, is it meeting its objectives, should its direction be adjusted. The current impact of the project will be reviewed and reported. The mid-term meeting in month 18 will review the direction of the project and if necessary propose technical adjustments in the light of research findings. The final meeting at the end of the project will review all the results; draft the final report including the final impact report.
