Workshop on Electromagnetic Materials Measurement
Best Practice
Thursday, 13 June 2013
Ljubljana, Slovenia
The aim of this workshop is to give practical advice and guidance on best practice for electromagnetic material measurements on dielectrics and other materials at RF and MW frequencies. The workshop will be suitable for scientists and engineers familiar with the area as well as those just starting out. The presentations will be given by metrologists from National Measurement Institutes (NMIs) across Europe, who have practical experience of the measurement techniques to be covered. The schedule will allow plenty of time for you to mingle with them and other attendees, to share your experiences and to obtain advice on your measurement problems.
The workshop is being run by the European Electromagnetic Materials Measurements and Applications Club (EMMA-Club). It will be hosted by SIQ, the Slovenian National Measurement Institute.
Details are given in the Draft Agenda.
Who should attend? All scientists and engineers interested in characterising electromagnetic materials at RF and Microwave Frequencies.
Venue: M Hotel, Derčeva ulica 4, 1000 Ljubljanas.
Registration: The meeting is free to attend; but registration is essential
There will be an opportunity to bring posters along to present your work in this area to the experts and attendees.
All registrants will be contacted with details of local hotels and directions.
Contact: Bob Clarke and Kevin Lees on eminda@npl.co.uk
The EMMA-Club is funded through the EMRP Project IND02-EMINDA and is jointly funded by the EMRP participating countries within EURAMET and the European Union
Please note another important Dielectrics event that will take place in April this year: The UK Institute of Physics (IoP) Dielectrics Group will be running the Dielectrics 2013 Conference in Reading, England on 10th - 12th April. Please visit the Dielectrics 2013 website for details.
Some of the work of the EMINDA project will be presented at this meeting.
